Alec Berenshteyn

About Me

Hi, I'm Alec Berenshteyn.   I'm a Student at Virginia Tech studying Computer Science. I grew up in Oceanside, New York, attending Oceanside High School. Leaving their home behind, my parents came to America from Odessa, Ukraine in the Soviet Union. A big part of who I am today is thanks to in part by my 2 older brothers. I try too see them every chance I can, despite our busy schedules.

I started to learn how to code when I was 11 years old. I was curious about how websites are made, so following an online tutorial, I made a simple website that contained a textbox. Ever since, I loved coding. In my sophomore year High School, I started to learn how to make games. I used Unity and C# to make simple games, polishing skills that I have today.

Other than programming, I'm interested in Cars, Planes, City Planning, and Wildlife. I love spending time outside exploring the environment around me.
